Federal government forces seize the control of Mataban district
Federal government forces took over the control Mataban district of Hiran region after the forces of Ahlu Sunna waljamii’a quitted from the town.
The commissioner of Mataban district Abdirisak Mohamed Ahmed told Goobjoog FM that the town is officially under the control of government administration.
He added that that Ahlu-sunna forces withdrew from the town without confrontations.
On his side the chairman of Ahlu Sunna waljamii’a administration of that town Mohamed Hassan Ali told denied that their forces pulled out of the district and described the claims of the government as far from truth.
The local people in the area confirmed that the government forces took over the control of the town.
This comes at a time when government forces seized several towns in Galgaduug region which were under the control of Ahlu-Sunna administration.
