Somalia evacuates over 300 nationals trapped in Ukraine
GOOBJOOG NEWS/MOGADISHU: Somali government has evacuated 348 nationals who were stranded in Ukraine.
A statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said that it was able to rescue the hundreds of Somali nationals who were stranded in Ukraine and along its borders including some who lacked the necessary documentation to flee the besieged country.
The ministry further said it had facilitated the placement of 65 students in higher education institutions in Hungary after expressing their wish to continue with their studies.
Finally, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation called on Somali students who registered to study in Ukraine and desired to continue higher education outside Ukraine to fill out a form issued by the ministry.
