Fifth Session of the Southwestern Parliament opens today

South West Parliament is set to open its 5th Session in Baidoa, Bay Region.

Preparations are underway to open the session, which will be attended by Speaker of Parliament Mohamed Mursal Sheikh Abdirahman and Djiboutian Parliament Speaker Mohamed Ali Hamud, who arrived in Baidoa yesterday.

The officials are expected to deliver speeches on parliamentary duties and parliamentarians responsibilities to complete and forward issues concerning the development of the Regional state.

Security in Baidoa has been tightened by the Somali national army and many troops are seen along with the high ways in the city.
