Five people killed in landmine blasts in Lower Shabelle
GOOBJOOG NEWS|LOWER SHABELLE: Five people were killed and 15 others injured in a landmine explosion in the Lower Shabelle region Saturday, sources said.,
According to sources in Barire area of Awdigle district, the first explosion happened after a motor bicycle ran into the land suspected to have been planted on the road killing two people.
Two more people were killed and 15 others injured as they moved in to rescue those who were in the motor bicycle. According to authorities, two more explosions went off as people rushed to the scene.

The incident comes barely two weeks after an explosion went off at a football field in Qoryoley district of Lower Shabelle region killing at least 27 people most of them children.
