Galmudug announces election schedule for six seats

GOOBJOOG NEWS/DHUSAMAREB: The Galmudug State Electoral Implementation Committee has released the election schedule for six seats set for election in Galmudug’s second constituency, Galkayo.

In observance of the Women’s Quota, 3 of the six seats have been reserved for women. The Committee has slated March 1 to March 3 as the registration and training dates for candidates of the six seats, while elections will be held on March 5.

Below are the seats and the current Members of Parliament.

1. HOP001: Warsame Mohamed Hassan (Joodah).

2. HOP013: Maryan Mohamed Hussein.

3. HOP017: Dunyo Mohamed Ali.

4. HOP020: Ali Ahmed Sharif Osman.

5. HOP060: Ubah Tahliil Warsame.

6. HOP101: Hirsi Aden Roble (Deputy Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation).
