Galmudug Parliament elects new vice president

Galmudug Parliament has elected Ali Dahir Ed as Galmudug new vice-president with 46 votes, while his running mate Abdiqani Sh Ali Diini received 31 votes. Galmudug Parliament speaker Mohamed Nur Ga’l announced the result and declared Ali Dahir Ed as the new Galmudug vice president.

Galmudug Vice-Presidential Election contested by five candidates whiles the other three candidates Mohamed Abdi, Ahmed Yusuf Warsame and Sadiq Abdullahi run-off in the first round of the election.

Currently, Galmudug presidential election supported by the federal government held in the capital Dhusamareb wins Ahmed Abdi Kariye (Qoorqoor). Ali Dahir Ed, the new Galmudug vice-president will be working with his boss Ahmed Abdi Kariye in the next four years.
