Galmudug poll team urges president Qoorqoor to announce senate candidates

GOOBJOOG NEWS|DHUSAMAREB: Galmudug state interim elections team has called on president Ahmed Qoorqoor to release the list of candidates who will contest in the senate race.

In a letter dates July 29, the State Indirect Elections Team (SIET) chairman Mohamed Guled warned that time was running out and urged Qoorqoor to release the list.

Senate elections were due to run from July 25-28 but none of the FMS beat the deadline. Jubbaland has since elected the first four senators while South West released candidates for Friday’s first five seats.
