Galmudug President to Appoint Security Committee
The newly elected president for Galmudug Abdikarim Hussein Guled is due to put together new security committee that is to be tasked with organizing the army and security forces for the newly established estate.
One of the main tasks for the committee is to integrate different armed forces in the central regions, some of which belonged to local entities that have been in existence before the formation of Galmudug State.
The committee will also establish central command for the security forces and the president will name commanders to the Military, Police and intelligence units for the armed forces before they are deployed to different parts of the region.
Some of the forces are loyal to General Abdi Awale Qeybdid, former presidential aspirant, who recently urged his forces to pledge allegiance to the newly elected leadership.
Abdikarim last week established another committee tasked to draft action plan for the first 100 days of his administration.
