Galmudug set to hold elections for four seats in Dhusamareb today

GOoBJOOG NEWS/DHUSAMAREB: The Galmudug elections team will today hold elections for four seats in the House of the People of the Federal Parliament of Somalia in Dhusamareb, the capital city of Galmudug.

Notable figures running for today’s seats, include, Wadajir party leader Abdirahman Abdishakur Warsame who is eyeing seat HOP#138 and is poised to win. Villa Somalia’s efforts to frustrate him from running for the seat proved futile after he was given the certificate of candidacy yesterday.

HOP#040 seat is projected to be won by Abdullahi Adan Kulane ‘Jiis’ (L) who heads the political affairs desk at NISA and was adversely mentioned in the kidnap and subsequent ‘death’ of female spy Ikran Tahlil.

Farah Abdi Diini, former NISA Commander of the Port and current Deputy Governor of Banadir Region is expected to win HOP007, while the last seat, HOP053 is projected to be won by Qorane Abshir.
