Galmudug speaker urge the security forces to maintain the security of Galkayo

The administration of Galmudug in Central Somalia has encouraged the security forces to speed up the security of Galkayo, the headquarters of Mudug region.

The speaker of Galmudug parliament Hassan Mohamud Hayl while visiting the bases of Galmudug forces urged the troops to be vigilant and prevent the security threats in the region.

He stated that the forces have severally foiled planned attacks against civilians and senior officials in the region especially Galkayo.

Galmudug leaders say they are committed to peacefully live with their neighbours by maintaining the overall security of the region.

Galmudug forces are in hot pursuit of armed men who killed a woman in Galkayo last week.
