Galmudug to hold elections for five seats in Galkayo today

GOOBJOOG NEWS/DHUSAMAREB: Galmudug State Elections Implementation Team will today hold elections for five seats in the state’s second constituency, Galkayo.

Below are the seats up for contest and the candidates eyeing the seats:

1. The Deputy Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation Hirsi Aden Roble, will be seeking to defend his seat HOP101, which is also contested for by Aisho Hersi Mohamed.

2. The second seat H0P13, previously held by Maryan Mohamed Hussein, will today be contested by Aden Osman Hussein (Qoryooley) Minister of Posts & Telecommunications and Maymun Hussein Mohamed.

3. Ubah Tahliil Warsame will be seeking to defend his seat HOP060, while Hodan Abdullahi Shire, Qaali Ali Shire, Ayaan Hussein Hassan and Nafiso Qasim Bulhan will both be contesting for the seat.

4. The fourth seat HOP017, previously held by Duniya Mohamed Ali, will today be contested by Qaladla Ali Awale and Ahmed Osman Aden.

5. The fifth and final seat of HOP001 which was previously occupied by Warsame Mohamed Hassan (Joodah), will today be contested by Jawahir Mohamed Ahmed and Farhiyo Hassan Mohamed.
