Galmudug unveils first five seats for the Lower House elections

GOOBJOOG NEWS|DHUSAMAREB: The Galmudug state electoral commission has today, Thursday, announced the first five seats becoming the second constituency to declare the start of Lower House elections.

The State Indirect Elections Team (SIET) said they will hold elections for the first five seats as follows;

1. HOP043: MP Hussein Qasim Yusuf,
2. HOP054: MP Abdishakur Ali Mire,
3. HOP104: Mahad Abdalla Awad,
4. HOP067: Abdullahi Ali Ahmed and
5. HOP026: Ikraan Adan Absuge.

The commission said it was in the process of registering traditional elders, civil society and delegates to who will participate in the selection of the delegates. The unveiling of the seats follows the announcement Wednesday night by state president Ahmed Qoorqoor directing the polls body to set out the electoral timelines.
