Gamudug military court issues arrest warrant for 18 members of Alhu Sunna Wal’jamaa

GOOBJOOG NEWS|DHUSAMAREB: The Galmudug Armed Forces Court has issued an arrest warrant for 18 members of the Ahlu Sunna Waljama’a (ASWJ) operating in Galmudug State.

Among those named include, former Somali government soldiers said to have joined the Sufist group and are behind the instability being witnessed in the Galmudug state.

The Armed Forces Court has ordered intelligence agencies and Galmudug police to trace the whereabouts of the 18 men so that they can face trial for the spate of violence that has rocked the Dhusamareb and surrounding areas for several months now.

Barely a week ago, Galmudug Police also issued arrest warrants for senior ASWJ members- all ex-Somali police, military and intel officers, following a deadly fight in Dhusamareb town.
