Army deployed in Galgadud to quell local clan clashes

Somali army arrived Wednesday morning to intervene in clan clashes in Galgadud region.

The forces led by the 13th Brigade Commander of the 21st Division Colonel Abdirahman Mohamud intercepted the militias that fought Tuesday y in the areas of Mirxeyley and Bangeelle in Galgadud.

Clan elders have mobilised to find a lasting solution to the on and off fighting which has been going on for the last two years.

This dispute comes barely a week after clan militias fought in the region and later reconciled.
