Hirshabelle announces delay in submission of selection committee for 11 seats

GOOBJOOG NEWS/JOWHAR: Hirshabelle State Elections Implementation Committee has announced that there has been a delay in the submission of the committee for the selection of delegates for the 11 seats in the state’s second constituency, Beleyweyne.

In a statement issued by the Hirshabelle elections committee, the various electoral commissions were informed of the delay in the submission of the selection committee, due to technical reasons.

The committee stated that another schedule for the selection of delegates for the 11 seats which were scheduled to take place on Tuesday  in Beledweyne, will be announced soon.

Complaints are rife after reports emerged that some candidates have been barred from contesting for some seats, leading to delays in the issuance of the election schedule.
