Several feared dead as clan clashes flare up in Dac-deer district in Galmudug
Several people are feared dead and another 26 were injured in clashes between two communities in the Dac-deer district of Galmudug, along with the border of Somalia and Ethiopia.
Goobjoog News correspondent in the region says the clashes happened after the Liyu police from Ethiopia who were in control over the region left and handed over the administration of the district without consulting the whole community living in the region.

The two clans in the region have been in conflicts in the pasts years over access to water and pasture that have been scarce owing to the frequent droughts in the region.
The fight has affected hundreds of residents in the area with some reportedly fled their houses.
There was no immediate response from government authorities as tension escalated.
