Interior Minister Welcomes The Election of Galmudug Parliament speaker

The interior and Federal minister Abdirhman Mohammad Hussien (Odowa) has congratulated the newly elected speaker of Galmudg Federal State Mr. Ga’al Ali Asir.

Speaking after election’s session was closed- the minister said everything now lies on shoulders of speaker to facilitate the remaining chapters of the State formation including presidential election.

“From now on many difficult tasks are ahead and Ga’al is here to make sure everything is going the right direction … building state from scratch is not that easy” said minister

Ali Ga’al is the product of highly contested elections winning with 48 votes in the second round; Abdullahi Aspro came the second with 36 votes.

Multi player’s election

Different political formations were very much involved in the process of this state formation which is believed to be significant political capital towards 2016 election.

Many political analysts believe that parliament elections were an indicator who is going to have an upper hand in upcoming presidential elections.

Each of the candidates for the speaker’s post had the backing of certain presidential aspirant, making Ga’al’s camp has already made significant inroads.
