Man who killed woman in Baidoa and dumped body in sewer executed by firing squad

GOOBJOOG NEWS|BAIDOA: A Regional court in South West’s Bay region has today executed by firing squad Mohamed Hassan Mohamed after he was found guilty of killing a business woman before dumping her body in a toilet sewer.

The court convicted Hassan Mohamed Hassan, aka Goomey, for the first degree murder of Amina Mohamud, who a couple of days ago had gone to the accused’s house to collect some debt owed to her only for the later to turn on her and end her life prematurely. 

Hundreds of locals thronged the scene of the shooting where South West officials, security officers and relatives of both the deceased and the victim were there to witness the execution.

Sending a warning to other would-be perpetrators, the  South West Minister of Justice Sheikh Hassan Lugbuur, said that a similar fate awaited anyone who dared commit such a crime.
