The situation of the Measles Outbreak in many parts of Gedo region handled effectively
The reports from Gedo region state a severe outbreak of measles in some districts and villages of that region.
Most of the patients suffered from the disease were children under the age of five years living in Buurdhuubo and Bardheere towns and their surrounding areas.
Many people in the region express earlier their concern that numerous children suffering from measles in outskirt of the main towns may not access to the health centers due to the distance from the town.
But the administration of the Gedo region described the condition of patients being well-recovered and the health officials in Gedo region handled the treatment of the disease effectively.
One of the officials the government in Gedo region told Goobjoog FM that the situation of the patients being quiet and recovering bit by bit.
He added that there were people suffering from the illness in 42 villages which do not have health care centers to treat the patients but fortunately health officials from Buurdhuubo and Bardheere districts reached to treat the patients.
