Military court sentences a man to death for suicide bombing

On May 23, 2019, security forces arrested a man who allegedly detained a suicide bomber during a ceremony in Guri’el town.

Mohamud Abdi Abdirahman, a man who appeared in the military court yesterday arrested by the security forces has been sentenced to death after the court found guilty.

Ali Dhubad Nure Siyad who was responsible for bringing of Mohamud Abdi Abdirahman in Guriel town trying to carry out a suicide bombing at Ahlu Sunna Waljama’a ceremony compound has been sentenced to life imprisonment.

The prosecution has accused the men of being members of Al-Shabaab and requested the court to charge according to their guilty.
