Mogadishu Mayor Promotes Xamar Municipal Police Officers

GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: Bandir region Governor and Mayor of Mogadishu Yusuf Hussein Jimale Monday presented promotions to police officers from the Xamar Municipality.

Governor Jimale presented the awards on behalf of the President of the Federal Government of Somalia Hassan Sheikh Mohamud during a ceremony held at the headquarters of the Banadir Regional Administration.

Banadir police commander General Mohamed Ali Carabow who was present during the ceremony expressed his gratitude to the federal government of Somalia for recognizing the hard work and dedication of the officers.

General Carabow in his remarks highlighted the crucial role the officers play in leading the command and ensuring the safety and security of the region.

Governor Jimale emphasized the importance of the Municipal Police in stimulating the economy, beautifying the capital, and preventing drug abuse and reaffirmed his commitment to continually motivate and improve the force to better serve the community.

“The Municipal Police are the backbone of economic stimulation, the beautification of the capital, and the prevention of drug abuse. I am always committed to motivating and improving our force,” he stated.

The pinning ceremony marks a significant milestone in recognizing and rewarding the efforts of the Municipal Police in Mogadishu.
