MP Ubah Tahliil Criticizes The President and Speaker of Parliament
MP Ubah Tahlil condemned the president Hassan Sheik Mohamoud and Speaker of Parliament Prof. Mohamed Osman Jawari for dragging their feet on the formation of Central State of Somalia.
The MP who is Dhusamareb accuses the country’s top leaders of going against the wishes of the people of Galgudud and Mudug and imposing their own agendas in place.
“I am very sorry about the recent utterances of the president, I would like to remind you that you came here, opened the reconciliation conference, you were supposed to know the conclusion, if you don’t care about the interests of the people, I would tell you that there are enough people here who cares, you just stay away and let us take charge” says the MP.
She also accused the speaker of not showing up at the reconciliation conference despite him attending similar conferences elsewhere in the country “You are a national leader, you don’t belong to a certain regions, we are the ones you elected you, you were supposed to support the people admirations and wishes in the same vein” she says.
He finnaly reminded the leadership that the people of Central regions can drive any agenda on their own whether it’s a hostile or peaceful one, “We chose to support the peace and we would achieve it”.
These comments came at a time when there are apparent disagreements about the tribal reconciliation conference in Dhusamareb and the subsequent state formation conference that is due to open in Adado town on Sunday.
