National conference for prosecutors opens in Baidoa

A national conference bringing together prosecutors from all the Federal Member States and Banaadir has opened today in the South West state capital, Baidoa.

Attorney General Dr Ahmed Dahir officially opened the three days event. Goobjoog News correspondent in Baidoa says the conference seeks to address two main objectives. One is to build a closer working relationship among prosecutors at the regional and national level and the other is to develop a framework to empower the functioning of the judiciary through a collaboration between prosecutors and the courts.

Also in attendance is Chief Justice Bashe Ahmed.
