New Surgical Department to be Constructed at Matabaan District Hospital, Hiraan region

GOOBJOOG NEWS | HIRAAN:  Matabaan district, Hiraan region administration Thursday laid a foundation stone for the new surgical department at the district hospital.

The event, attended by district governor Bashir Abdirahman Shekeeye and other officials, marks a crucial step toward enhancing healthcare services in the region.

Speaking during the event, Matabaan district health chief, Amina Dahir Ashoor, emphasized the importance of this construction project.

Ashoor further highlighted the urgent need for a dedicated surgery unit to serve the local population.

Earlier, the community had submitted a request for this essential service, prompting action from parliamentarians and politicians representing the region.

The expansion of the hospital’s facilities is expected to improve access to surgical care, benefiting residents who previously faced challenges in receiving timely treatment.

As construction progresses, community participation remains crucial to ensuring the successful completion of this vital healthcare infrastructure.
