Norway Commits to Enhance Support for Somalia’s Immigration Agency

GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: Norway has pledged to double the support provided by the Norwegian government to Somalia’s Immigration and Nationality Agency, emphasizing the importance of strengthening the positive cooperation between the two nations.

Norwegian Ambassador to Somalia Carsten Carlsen made the statement Friday when he paid a courtesy call to the Somalia’s Director General of the Immigration and Citizenship Agency Ahmed Saeed Mohamed at his Mogadishu office, accompanied by the Immigration Consul of the Norwegian Embassy, Mrs. Catherine Fari.

During the meeting,Mohamed expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Norwegian government for its support in developing the infrastructure of the Immigration and Nationality Agency.

He highlighted the recent progress and outlined future plans aimed at further enhancing the agency’s capabilities.

This meeting marks a pivotal step in bolstering the bilateral relations between Somalia and Norway, with a shared vision of advancing the efficiency and effectiveness of Somalia’s immigration services.
