One dead after government forces and Ahlu Suna exchanged fire in the outskirts of Abudwak

One person died and another one wounded after federal government forces and Ahlu Suna militia exchanged fire in the outskirts of Abudwak district in Galgadud region.
The exchange of fire occurred after government forces in hot pursuit of bandits accidently met Ahlu Suna militias who control checkpoint that separates two warring clans that clashed in the outskirts of Abudwak recently.
Khalif Abdisamad Ali, vice chairman of Abidwak social services told Goobjoog FM that the forces were chasing armed bandits but Ahlu militia tried to prevent the forces from arresting them hence confrontation started.
He stated that these incidents may lead to escalation of fresh inter clan clashes in the region.
