One killed, 5 injured after car ploughs into revelers at a Mogadishu restaurant

GOOBJOOG NEWS/MOGADISHU: One person has been confirmed dead and five others injured after a car lost control and crashed into revelers at a Mogadishu restaurant.

The accident took place when the driver of the said vehicle lost control of his car and hit members of the public at a restaurant called Fruto located along Shaqalaha intersection in the capital Mogadishu, Saturday evening. 

One person died on the spot while five others are said to have sustained injuries of varying degrees and were rushed to one of Mogadishu’s hospitals.

Somali government forces are said to have arrived at the scene and arrested the errant driver, who will soon be arraigned in court for dangerous driving.
