One NISA officer Injured In a Car Fitted With Explosives in Mogadishu

One person sustained injuries after car bomb explosion occurred in Mogadishu on Sunday.

Reports confirm that explosive devices fitted into the car of Abdi-Aziz Abdikadir Habib Munye, NISA blew up and the officer sustained injuries. No other casualties reported.

He was immediately rushed to the nearby hospital for treatment.

The security forces reached the scene after the explosion and investigations are underway.

No group has claimed the responsibility of the explosion but Al-Shabab has been carrying out attacks against government workers, soldiers and its institutions.

Al-Shabab has vowed to increase attacks during the fasting month of Ramadan whereby the government put more efforts to foil the planed attacks of Al-Shabab as Security has been boosted in the capital by deploying many police officers in the streets.
