Parliament Speaker Prof. Jawari Halts Motion Until Normalcy Is Achieved To The House
According to a 10 point statement issued by the speaker of parliament Prof. Mohamed Osman Jawari, the house session on the proposed no- confidence motion cannot go ahead until normalcy is returned to parliament.
He cited the shouting marches and the disruptions by some section of MPs as a reason.
He said the atmosphere is not conducive to do such important business of the house; he called for calm and order in the parliament.
He also wished that a common ground could be reached to solve the political stalemate in the country.
This comes hours after the parliament session on the no confidence motion ended with no results after MPs disrupted the house. They claimed that the motion is unconstitutional and that proper procedures were not followed.
