PM Hamza Calls for More Support for Flood Victims in Somalia
GOOBJOOG NEWS | KISIMAYO: Federal Republic of Somalia Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre accompanied by international partners visited the people displaced by floods at the outskirts of Kismayo.
The Prime Minister raised concern over the increasing number of people affected by the floods saying hundreds of people are facing a dire humanitarian situation due to floods and are in need of emergency aid.
He praised the Jubaland administration for its efforts to help the affected people and urged the international community and humanitarian agencies to ramp up humanitarian aid to assist the affected people in various regions of Somalia.
The Prime Minister also had virtual meetings with the Ambassadors of Turkey, China and the special envoy of the UN, and International Donors who attended digitally.
