PM Barre Welcomes New Turkish Ambassador, Inks new Bilateral Ties

GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: Prime Minister, Hamza Abdi Barre Wednesday received Alper Aktaş, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Somalia, at his office in Mogadishu.

During the meeting, the Prime minister underscored the deep-rooted bilateral ties and cooperation between the two nations.

Prime Minister Barre extended his congratulations to Ambassador Aktaş on his new role, emphasizing Turkey’s role as a steadfast ally to Somalia highlighting Turkey’s consistent support for the country by contributing significantly to various development projects.

On his part, Ambassador stated that Turkey is keen to boost the existing close ties with Somalia and expressed his appreciation for the hospitality extended extended by the Somali government and its people.

The discussions between Prime Minister Barre and Ambassador Aktaş focused on avenues to enhance the bilateral relations and cooperation across multiple sectors.
