PM Kheire lays foundation stone for a new project to build Mogadishu-Jowhar-Afgoye roads
Prime Minister Hassan Ali Kheyre has today laid a stone of new project to build roads from Mogadishu to Afgoye of Southwest state Somalia and Mogadishu to Jowhar of HirShabelle state.
The federal government of Somalia and a Turkish company that acquired the construction of roads have signed an agreement on building these roads.
Hirshabelle state president Mohamed Abdi Waare, and President of the South West State of Somalia, Abdiaziz Hassan Mohamed were also present at the signing ceremony in Mogadishu.
Officials from the government of Qatar who are investing the construction of these roads in Mogadishu, Afgooye and Jowhar in Banadir and the two Shabelle regions were present in the opening ceremony.
The construction of these roads is so important for public transport and cargo transporting business which have been a major impact on the people in the regions since the collapse of the central government.
