PM Roble discusses relief assistance with UAE aid officials
GOOBJOOG NEWS/ABU DHABI: The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Mohamed Hussein Roble, has today met with United Arab Emirates’ (UAE) aid organizations to discuss humanitarian assistance to the Somali People.
A statement by the Office of the Somali Prime Minister said that Roble met in Abu Dhabi with the United Arab Emirates Red Crescent Society and aid agencies to discuss emergency assistance for the drought-stricken Somali population.
The (UAE) in a statement issued yesterday, promised to continue offering any possible assistance to Somalia and has recently handed over food and medical aid to the Somali government to alleviate the effects of the current drought that has ravaged several parts of the country.
Earlier, Prime Minister Roble met with Abu Dhabi Heir Apparent, Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and discussed in particular, UAE’s assistance to the Somali people affected by the drought.
