President Mohamud meets security chiefs in Mogadishu
Somali president Hassan Sheikh Mohamud Saturday met senior security chiefs in Mogadishu following a series of terror attacks and killings in the last few weeks.
The meeting which was held at General Kahiye Police Academy discussed ways to tackle Al shabaab attacks in the country.
The meeting brought together the security chiefs of the federal government, minister of the internal security Abdirizak Omar Mohamed and several government officials.
President Mohamud has urged security agencies to closely work and share information with Benadir regional administration to counter the increasing Al shabaab raids and ensures lasting stability in Somalia.
Last week, Banadir regional administration was entrusted with the security of the capital, Mogadishu following series of security lapses.
