President Lafta-gareen cracks whip on Lower Shabelle Governor

GOOBJOOG NEWS/BAIDOA: South West President Abdiaziz Lafta-gareen has fired Mohamed Abdirahin Nur, the governor of Lower Shabelle region, and appointed a new governor. 

In a statement issued last night by the Office of the South West Presidency, Ibrahim Adan Ali Najah, the former Minister of Youth and Sports, has been re-appointed as the Governor of Lower Shabelle region for the third time.

Lafta-gareen’s administration did not give any reason for the dismissal of the outgoing former governor, who is said to be on a trip to the United Kingdom.
