President Mohamud Attends UN Environment Conference in Nairobi
GOOBJOOG NEWS | NAIROBI: Federal Republic of Somalia president Hassan Sheikh Mohamud is set to participate in the 6th UN Environment Conference taking place in Nairobi, Kenya.
The conference, which commenced Tuesday, aims to address pressing environmental issues on a global scale.
The President is expected to highlighting Somalia’s commitment to environmental sustainability and addressing pertinent issues such as air pollution, plastic usage, environmental degradation, and climate change.
Also, president Mohamoud will meet fellow leaders attending the conference as a way of fostering collaboration and sharing insights on tackling environmental challenges.
Accompanying the President are top officials from the Somali government, including the Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Khadija Mohamed Al-Makhzoumi, and the Somali Ambassador to Kenya, Jabril Ibrahim Abdulle.
