President Mohamud sets out to Galmudug and Hirshabelle to assess security situation 

GOOBJOOG NEWS|MOGADISHU: President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud set out Saturday morning for Galmudug and Hirshabelle states to assess the security situation in the two regions.

The president will be visiting the areas where military operations against Khawarij militants have been going on for the last four months. He is also expected to address soldiers on the frontlines of the operations and hail them for their sacrifice in defending the nation.

The president’s itinerary also includes evaluating the conditions in areas recently liberated from the Khawarij terrorist group by the National Army in collaboration with locals in Hiiraan, Galgadud, and Mudug regions.
