Prime Minister Barre Inaugurates the Somali Diaspora Conference in Qatar

GOOBJOOG NEWS | DOHA: Federal Government of Somalia prime minister Hamza Abdi Barre Monday led a delegation of government officials attending the Somali Diaspora Conference in Doha, Qatar.

Speaking when he delivered his opening speech at the conference running under the theme “Directing the power of the Somali Diaspora to achieve a prosperous Somalia”, the Prime Minister said the conference is meant to sensitize the Somali citizens living in the diaspora to contribute actively to the country’s reconstruction.

He said that while it is crucial to integrate with comminutes in the host nations, it is also important to always preserve the Somali culture and customary values.

The Somali diaspora conference organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Somalia, was attended by hundreds of Somalis living around the world.
