Puntland forces and Alshabab clash over night

Sources from mountainous region of Galgala confirm an extended clash between Alshabab fighters and Puntland forces over night. There is no immediate casualties reported from the fight.

The fight started when Alshabab fighters stormed Puntland military base with motor fires followed live combat using machine guns and hand grenades, sources told Goobjoog News.

Alshabab branch in Puntland regions spiritual leader Sheikh Abdiqadir Mumin has pledged his allegiance to Islamic state in Iraq and Levant, ISIL and vowed to continue his fight against Puntland state.

It is not clear yet if his wing was responsible for the fight and there are no reports of any casualties
