Puntland: No puntland forces are part of the clashes in Saaho locality

Puntland administration in North-eastern Somalia denied that their forces are part of the clashes that embarked in Saaho locality on Wednesday.

The vice governor of Mudig region Ahmed Muse Noor told Goobjoog FM that the clashes in Saaho localty is between two clan militias in the locality.

The vice governor also rebuffed that the clashes started before days, he noted that the fighting began on Wednesday morning and lasted for an hour.

“ Clans in the area normally fight due to argument over the ownership of grazing land and water wells” he said.

“The claims that forces from the neighbouring administrations fought is far from truth” he added.
