Puntland president attends the funeral of a famous elder in Galdogob

The president of semi autonomous regional state of Puntland Abdiweli Mohamed Ali Gaas and delegates reached Galdogob district in Mudug region to attend the funeral service  of a famous traditional elder Ugas Ahmed Ugas Mohamed.

Ugas Ahmed Ugas Mohamed died in Galdogob on Sunday after long illness. He is to be buried in Galdogob earlier today.

The security of Galdogob district particularly the area where funeral service is held was tightened by Puntland security forces.

Similarly traditional elders from all the regions of Somalia are attending the funeral service of the late elder.

Somalia top leaders, president Hassan Sheikh Mohamud and prime minister Abdiweli Sheikh Ahmed sent heartfelt condolences to families and relatives of the late elder.
