Qoorqoor, federal lawmakers survive car bomb attack in Galgadud

GOOBJOOG NEWS|GALGADUD: Galmudug President Ahmed Qoorqoor and a section of Federal Parliament lawmakers survived a car bomb attack in Galgadud region Friday morning.

According to multiple sources, Al-Shabaab militants detonated a vehicle loaded with explosives near the frontline camp where the leaders were based.

However, soldiers manning the camp repulsed the attackers. Two of the soldiers were reportedly killed.

Senator Abdi Qabydiid was reportedly injured after a rock fell on him during rhe attack.

The incident happened in Las Ga’amey village near Ba’adweyne Town in Galmudug region.
