Qoorqoor releases list of first six senate candidates
GOOBJOOG NEWS|DHUSAMAREB: Galmudug president Ahmed Qoorqoor has released the list of candidates for the first six senate seats locking out three former senators and bringing in three new candidates.
Among the new candidates is Galmudug state livestock minister Sa’id Siyad Shirwa and current MP Abdihakim Maalim Ahmed. The outgoing senators who made a comeback are Ahmed Abdi Dhuhulow (Dhagdheer), Yusuf Guelleh Ugas and Samsam Dahir Mohamud. Senate first deputy speaker Abshir Ahmad was left out.
The remaining seats whose fate has not been declared are those currently occupied by Senator Abdi Qeybdiid and Abdiwahi Elmi Gonjeh.
