Qoorqoor to set track record on reforms and poll pact in brief to Senate
Galmudug President Ahmed Qoorqoor will be briefing the Upper House on the ongoing reforms in the central Somalia state this afternoon.
Goobjoog News has learnt that the new leader will be presenting his government’s track record since he was elected into office early this year. These include the reconciliation process among communities in the state and service delivery by his government.
The Galmudug leader who has been hailed by the US for his role in hosting electoral talks in Dhusamareb and bringing together the Federal Member State leaders will also be briefing the Upper House on Galmudug’s efforts and vision in contributing to the country’s development agenda.
Other key issues the Galmudug leader will be addressing include the ongoing electoral talks, the role of the Upper House in protecting and nurturing the federalism agenda, and representation of Banaadir region in the Federal Parliament.
Qoorqoor becomes the third FMS leader to address the Upper Huse after Ahmed Madobe (Jubbaland) and his Puntland counterpart Abdullahi Deni.
