Security forces arrests dozens in Kismayo

The security forces of Interim Juba administration apprehended over 130 people mostly youth suspected of having links with Al-shabab in a massive security crackdown.
National intelligence officials in the region confirmed that they arrested dozens of youth and also seized weapons including hand bombs and other explosive devices.
The security officials state that the aim of the operation is to maintain security and thwart planned attacks and explosions in the district. Investigations are now underway.
The operation has affected all the villages of the port city of Kismayo, public transport and business activities in the area came to standstill.
