Security officials in Gedo region launch operations to chase the abductors of doctors

The security officials in Gedo region have given comments about the abduction of three doctors in Garbaharey district, the headquarters of Gedo region.

Col.Osman Haji told Goobjoog FM that they have full information of doctors operating in Garbaharey general hospital kidnapped by armed men on their to Garbaharey adding that the security agencies in the region have launched operations to chase the kidnappers.

He accused Al-shabab of behind the abduction of the doctors and urged the local community to provide tip-offs about the ware about of the doctors to security officials.

The armed men kidnapped the doctors including the director of Garbaharey hospital during an ambush which occirred between Garbaharey and Beled Hawo districts while returning from Mandera, Kenya where attended seminar.
