Senior Al-shabab officer surrenders to the federal government

Reports from Bakol region state that senior Al-shabab member named Bashaan Ali Hassan aka Mohamed Ali has surrendered to Somali National Army officials in Hudur town.
Bashaan was senior intelligence officer of Al-shabab in Lower Shabelle and Bakool regions as local people confirm.
Abdirahman Mohamed Osman aliases Tima-Adde, one of SNA officials has told state onwed radio that the surrender of official will be is big blow to al-Shabaab and its leaders.
The commander of SNA in Bakol region has noted investigations to clear the reason behind the surrender are underway.
“We are doing investigations and results will be released soon but i can confirm that Bashaan is in the hands of Somali government” he said.
