Shebelle River floods breaches  Lower Shebelle

Shebelle River floods in areas under the control of Afgoye district in Lower Shebelle region where flooding has affected farmers in the area, and local authorities arrived in the Lower Shebelle region observed the floods.

Ibrahim Adan Ali, the governor of Lower Shebelle region and his entourage reached out to help restore water in some areas speaking to the media he said, they had managed to close down four places where the river had broken first but pointed out that people need emergency help.

The governor also said they have other plans to respond to the flood-affected people. The Shebelle River which flows through Hirshabelle and Lower Shebelle has been flooded in several areas of the three regions, affecting the populations in the flooded areas.
