GOOBJOOG NEWS|BAIDOA: Residents of Baidoa in southwestern Somali town were awakened to a bizarre incident on Sunday after the body of a woman who had gone missing for several days was found in a sewer.

Amino Mohamud, whose relatives said had gone missing without trace for a couple of days, was found dead in a toilet sewer with her body wrapped in a gunny bag.

According to residents, a man said to owe Amina called her to his place to pick her money only to turn on her and kill her.

An autorickshaw driver who had dropped the late Amina at the house of the man suspected to have killed her, led police to the house where a search stumbled on the pit where the body of the woman, who was positively identified by her family, was dumped.

Police immediately arrested the suspect who was whisked to a police station in Baidoa to await trial for a murder most foul.
