SISA calls Guri-El warring sides to stop fighting
Somali Islamic Scholars Association (SISA) are showing their deep concern over the fierce fighting embarked between the moderate Islamist group Ahlu-Sunna Waljama’a and the federal government forces in some parties Galgaduud region,
Sheikh Ahmed Salad, chairman of Somali Islamic Scholars Association (SISA) speaking to Goobjoog FM has called upon the warring sides to cease fire without condition and to solve their differences on negotiation table.
“Fighting is not a solution for both warring sides and whole Somali community, people need peace, they have seen what civil war is and its ramification therefore peace is best way, we urge both sides to look for another to solve their differences rather than killing one another” the chairman said.
Two days deadly fighting between internationally-backed government troops and a moderate Islamist group Ahlusunah Wal Jamaah on control of Guricel town claimed many lives and destructed immense civil properties.
